New toilets here and abroad

By , October 10, 2014

Over the summer the church has had the male, female and family toilets completely redone with new plastering, freshly painted walls and all new fittings.  Here’s what they look like now.

We also decided to ‘twin’ our new toilets.

The charity ‘Toilet Twinning’ raises funds to enable poor
communities in the developing world to have access to clean water, a decent toilet and to learn about hygiene.

Having a toilet reduces the spread of disease and means children are less likely to die of diarrhoea and other diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

For a £60 donation, you can twin your toilet at home, work, school or church with a latrine.

Do watch this video to find out how the charity are helping families in Nepal.

Here are our ‘toilet twins’.  You can see more information on their certificates in the toilets at Pond Square which have the GPS co-ordinates showing exactly where in the world the toilets are.
