Who are we?

  • Christians from many traditions who have found a home in the United Reformed Church, Highgate, and draw strength and inspiration from worshipping and working together

  • To worship God
  • To be a Church that includes all ages and stages of faith
  • To explore a way of living the Christian life that engages thought and prompts action

  • Discuss issues and make decisions corporately
  • Work with Christians from other denominations wherever possible
  • Invest resources in people and volunteer to help those in need
  • Make our building and garden available to the wider community

What is the United Reformed Church?

Formed by unions of English Presbyterians with English, Welsh and Scottish Congregationalists, and with members of the Churches of Christ in 1972, 1981 and 2000. Eighty thousand adults and children regularly worship in 1500 United Reformed Church congregations throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The traditions that have combined to form the United Reformed Church originate in the 16th Century Protestant Reformation that began as a reform of the Catholic Church in present-day Switzerland.
